I'll try and get some pictures today. I wanted to get the boat out of the garage but it's all bocked in with the material for the chimney construction and I am so busy with that. I'll get my daughter to pose inside and pull the cover over herself to demonstrate.

Rob,

What kind of material did you use? I won't be using Fastgrass this year. I need more of a rock pattern.

I used Cordura from Magna fabrics. I got 840 Denier in Army green digital camo. The stuff is tough as nails but hard to work with and you need to keep it out of the sun with a boat cover or something. i may add grassing strips and raffia, but I have not decided yet. I did not get pictures yet either. i spent all day getting ready for my chimney inspection tomorrow.

I feel like I'm back were I was last year, I don't want to buy grass this year since none of my blind sites have any grass near them. A grey rock color will will be the pattern this year but where to get the material.

Magna Fabric has nice cheap stuff but it's hit or miss getting what you want from them.

Cordura is great stuff but you are going to want to cover it to protect it from the sun. I have heard abut it fading and turning color is left in the sun all year. Mostly on ground blinds.

Fast grass is nice but it crumbles way too fast. It looks bad the second year and falls apart the second even when o cover it a lot.

I should have posted these before. I got distracted by hunting and other stuff.

This is the clamp setup for the conduit frame. The conduit was cut and folded over to hold the conduit to the clamp. This worked while it was on the boat, but was bending a failing when i removed it. It needs to be stiffer material. Maybe schedule 40 pipe and welded to the clamps. An August project as the blind is in the garage attic now.

Here is the cover started and I was Zip tying raffia to it. You can see the three colors I was using. Half brown, half green and a strand or two of beige or natural to lighten it some. I looks like a 1' grass island with hunter heads sticking out of it.

Here is is all rolled up for travel.

I will write a full how to and post it up on a CMS website I am making for anyone else wanting to try it.
